Welcome to Savories European Bistro located in the heart of the scenic Saint Croix River Valley on its historic Main Street.

In their second decade of creating unique cuisine inspired by both local products and global sensibilities, Savories Bistro is a full service restaurant providing breakfast (weekends only) lunch and dinner – as well as full service off-site catering.

Patrons of this romantic Euro-café know that attention to detail and every dish prepared from scratch are the hallmarks of Savories Bistro. Diners at Savories enjoy the surprise of menus that change every 4 to 6 weeks – with a focus on seasonal and local bounties.

Casual lunches feature super stuffed sandwiches prepared on home baked hearth breads. Breakfast served each Saturday and Sunday until 1:00pm makes sleeping in a treat – and even late-comers can enjoy fluffy cornmeal Johnny Cakes with Raspberry Butter & real Maple Syrup or Log Cabin French Toast, puffy 3 egg omelettes oozing a trio of fillings or just your favorite newspaper and and a robust triple shot cappuccino.

Sophisticated dinners are created by CIA culinary graduate & chef-owner Jeffrey Klemetsrud, whose repertoire of original dishes changes daily and may include selections such as Stuffed Portobello Mushroom Turban in Homemade Puff Pastry with French Apple Cider Cream Sauce or Tapenade Crusted Lamb Rack with Morrocan Honey & Cumin Charred Carrot Gratin.

Between them, this husband (Jeff) & wife (Kristin) team have spent more than a quarter century growing this delightful restaurant from a small store-front bakery and coffee café into a full service sophisticated bistro with a collection of fine wines served with their interpretation of “global metropolitan” cuisine.

Inspired by living abroad and intensive culinary training, the two draw inspiration from many cultures and their indigenous cuisines; then translate them into Savories own unique style.

In the valley Savories has been offering a full menu of chef driven offerings that has defined the culinary curve for the area since 1991.
